Detailed Itinerary for Chardham Yatra from Haridwar 2024

• Delhi - Haridwar Day 01

  • Highlights: Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri
  • Details: Arrive in Delhi and meet our representative. Transfer to Haridwar and check into your hotel. In the evening, witness the mesmerizing Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri, explore the local area, and enjoy the serene ambiance of the Ganges. Overnight stay in Haridwar.
  • Note: For travelers joining from Haridwar, the pickup will be on Day 02.
• Haridwar – Barkot Day 02

  • Travel Duration: Haridwar – Barkot (210 kms / 7-8 hrs) via Mussoorie
  • Highlights: Scenic drive, Kampty Falls (optional)
  • Details: After breakfast and an early morning dip in the Ganges, start your journey to Barkot. The drive takes approximately 7 hours with a short break at Kampty Falls if preferred. Alternatively, reach Barkot via Vikas Nagar to avoid peak season traffic in Mussoorie. Dinner and overnight stay in Barkot.
• Barkot – Yamunotri – Barkot Day 03

  • Highlights: Trek to Yamunotri, Garam Kund, Yamunotri Temple
  • Details: Depart early for Janki Chatti via Hanuman Chatti and Phool Chatti. Begin a 5 km trek to Yamunotri. Upon arrival, take a holy dip in Garam Kund, perform Pooja and Darshan at Yamunotri Temple, and return to Janki Chatti in the afternoon. Drive back to Barkot for an overnight stay.

• Barkot – Uttarkashi Day 04

  • Travel Duration: Barkot – Uttarkashi (100 kms / 4 hrs)

  • Details: Enjoy a late morning departure to Uttarkashi after breakfast. The drive is relatively short, allowing for a relaxing day. Visit the Vishwanath Temple upon arrival. The rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight stay in Uttarkashi.
• Uttarkashi – Gangotri – Uttarkashi Day 05

  • Travel Duration: Uttarkashi – Gangotri – Uttarkashi (200 kms round trip)

  • Details:Depart early for Gangotri with a packed breakfast. On the way, visit the hot water spring at Ganganani. Perform Pooja and Darshan at the Gangotri Temple, and return to Uttarkashi in the evening. Overnight stay in Uttarkashi.

• Uttarkashi – Guptkashi – Sitapur Day 06

  • Travel Duration: Uttarkashi – Guptkashi – Sitapur (290 kms / 8-9 hrs)
  • Highlights: Tehri Dam, Scenic Drive
  • Details: Leave early with a packed breakfast for a day-long drive to Sitapur via Guptkashi. Pass through the Ganga river and see the impressive Tehri Dam. Overnight stay in Sitapur/Guptkashi.
• Sitapur – Kedarnath – Sitapur Day 07

  • Travel Duration: Sitapur – Kedarnath – Sitapur (Fly or Trek)
  • Highlights: Kedarnath Temple, Evening Aarti
  • Details: Prepare for the toughest part of the Yatra – Kedarnath. Trekkers will drive to Sonprayag-Gaurikund and begin the 19 km trek to Kedarnath. Overnight stay in Kedarnath.
    • Rituals & Activities: Visit Gauri Kund, Darshan of Kedarnath Temple, Bhim Shila, and meet Gurus and Sadhus.
• Kedarnath – Sitapur – Pipalkoti Day 08

  • Travel Duration: Kedarnath – Sitapur – Pipalkoti (Trek 21 kms & Drive 140 kms)
  • Highlights: Scenic drive, Rest
  • Details:Trek back to Sitapur and drive to Pipalkoti via Chopta and Gopeshwar. This day serves as a buffer to handle any last-minute delays. Optional visit to Triyugi Narayan Temple. Overnight stay in Pipalkoti.
• Pipalkoti – Badrinath Day 09

  • Travel Duration: Pipalkoti – Badrinath (75 kms / 2.5 hrs)
  • Highlights: Badrinath Temple, Mana Village
  • Details: After breakfast, proceed to Badrinath via Joshimath-Govindghat and Pandukeshwar. Participate in the evening Aarti at Badrinath. Overnight stay in Badrinath.
